Description
We are an independent insurance agency locally owned and operated. Our Commercial business is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our team. We encourage an environment of continuous training to allow for growth in the agency and for our employees. The Commercial Lines Account Executive provides support to our Commercial Lines Department and requires expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance, small to mid-size commercial accounts. This position requires a working knowledge of all lines of commercial insurance (General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation etc) over a wide range of business types — Contractors, Wholesalers, Businessowners and a small amount of trucking.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Agency Principal, Producers, and Team Members

Acquire new business by identifying opportunities in the local market and cross sell of our current clients.

Order policies and issue documentation, certificates, and binders as needed

Prepare new business and account renewal submissions for marketing and proposals to obtain competitive coverage/cost ratios for clients

Provide exceptional customer service to our clients by developing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships

Understand and promote all products offered using all possible marketing tools

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Property and casualty License

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Executive (Preferred)

Experience working in an independent insurance agency environment

Experience servicing/quoting/marketing commercial insurance with multiple carriers

Must be able to multi-task and handle a heavy workload with minimal supervision

Effective communicator (verbal and written)

Experience with Microsoft Office and proficiency in Word and Excel

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
