Description

Position Overview:

The Athletic Game Management Staff is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of athletic events and providing support to teams, officials, and spectators. This role involves organizing game-day logistics, scoreboard and clock operator, announcer, statistician, maintaining safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service to create a positive experience for all attendees.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of sports rules and regulations is a plus.
Statistician experience a plus
Ability to lift and move equipment as required.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in event management or customer service.
Familiarity with athletic events and operations.
Familiarity with keeping score & clock operation
Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
Work Environment:

This role requires sitting for extended periods, occasional heavy lifting, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions depending on the venue. Teamwork and collaboration are essential for success in this position.
Major Responsibilities/Duties

Key Responsibilities:
Game-Day Operations:

Provide support to officials, coaches, and teams by managing timing devices, equipment, or other resources.
Operating the Scoreboard and Clock duration of a game
Statistical record keeping of a game.
Announcing Game information.
Address any technical or operational issues that may arise during the event.

Customer Service:

Act as a point of contact for spectators, providing assistance and information as needed.
Remain calm and neutral during events.
Handle concerns in a professional manner and deescalate issues when necessary.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
Collaborate with security personnel, first responders, and event coordinators in case of emergencies.
Conduct periodic checks of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Post-Event Duties:

Collect feedback from participants and staff to identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and submit reports on event outcomes and incidents.
