Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (8-hour onsite workday required) Duration: 12-month W2 contract
W2 hourly: $68 Work type: W2 contract ONLY, No C2C, No 1099.
Job Description

We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Engineer who can both design and build modern web applications. This role is ideal for someone who started as a frontend engineer and moved into UX or a UX designer who can code at a high level. You'll work on advanced AI and security platforms, helping turn complex backend systems into clear, usable, and high-performing user interfaces. This is not basic UI work—you'll be designing tools used by engineers, security teams, and technical users.
What You'll Do

Design and build modern, interactive web applications
Turn complex system data into simple, intuitive user experiences
Create dashboards and workflows that handle large amounts of data
Build and display interactive graphs and diagrams
Work with backend teams to connect UI to APIs and real-time data
Support multi-step workflows (uploads, scans, reviews, approvals)
Ensure the UI reflects real system behavior (no misleading visuals)
Help improve performance for large-scale applications
What You'll Be Working On

AI-powered security and risk analysis tools
Systems that visualize architecture, workflows, and data relationships
Interfaces that handle complex decision-making and audit trails
Tools that support human review and approvals
Must-Have Skills

Frontend & UI
Strong experience with TypeScript
Experience with modern frameworks like React, Next.js, Remix, or Svelte
Solid understanding of CSS and responsive layouts
Experience building data-heavy, interactive dashboards
Backend Integration
Experience working with REST APIs and WebSockets
Comfortable integrating with Flask or FastAPI backends
Understanding of async processes and long-running jobs
Visualization & Performance
Experience with visualization libraries like D3, React Flow, Cytoscape.js, or similar
Understanding of Canvas/WebGL vs DOM rendering
Experience optimizing performance (large data sets, virtualization, etc.)
UX & Design Skills
Experience designing technical tools or platforms
Ability to simplify complex data and workflows
Strong skills in layout, hierarchy, and usability
Comfortable designing for technical users (not just general consumers)
Focus on accuracy and clarity, not just visuals
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with security tools, audit systems, or AI platforms
Familiarity with:
AI/ML concepts (RAG, agents, embeddings)
Graph-based data or network visualization
Cloud architecture or infrastructure diagrams
