Our client is a modern PR and growth agency that helps brands build cultural relevance through media, talent, VIP, experiential, and commerce-driven strategy. Working across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and entertainment, this is an opportunity to lead a high-profile NYC platform at the intersection of culture, media, and brand storytelling. The Showroom and Media Director will provide strategic leadership to the team, oversee key client relationships and showroom operations, drive revenue growth, and further establish the office as a high-performing hub.

5 days a week (2 flex remote days a month)

Salary:

$140-150k

Role Overview

Lead and scale the New York office as a revenue-producing operation.

Provide senior oversight across the NY team and client portfolio.

Manage showroom operations, programming, and overall utilization.

Drive business development and support long-term account growth.

Core Responsibilities

Set strategic direction for client accounts across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, spirits, and hospitality.

Own senior client relationships, handle escalations, and guide problem-solving.

Lead showroom planning and ensure consistent use for appointments, activations, and brand visibility.

Identify and develop new business opportunities, with particular focus on fashion.

Oversee performance PR and affiliate strategy at a high level, with the ability to clearly present the approach to clients.

Work across talent and brand initiatives where celebrity or talent exposure is relevant.

Delegate execution effectively while maintaining accountability for team performance and results.

Core Requirements

7+ years of experience in PR, media relations, or integrated communications, ideally in an agency setting.

Background spanning multiple categories, including fashion, beauty, lifestyle, spirits, and hospitality.

Exposure to talent or celebrity PR.

Working knowledge of performance PR and affiliate marketing strategy.

Ability to lead strategically rather than through day-to-day pitching execution.

Strong client management, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Experience managing teams and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.

Success Metrics

Strong new business pipeline, especially within fashion.

High showroom usage and consistent programming.

Well-managed team operations and stable client delivery.
