Vice President, Marketing & Sales

About the RoleATA International is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Marketing & Sales to join our executive leadership team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a senior, dual-mandate role responsible for unifying our marketing and sales functions into a single, high-performance revenue engine.
The VP of Marketing & Sales will own the full customer journey—from brand awareness and demand generation through to sales pipeline, conversion, and retention. This leader will bring together strategy, data, and people to accelerate growth, strengthen ATA’s market position, and deliver measurable results across both disciplines.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning design, communications, web, video, and sales, while serving as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team. The right candidate is equally comfortable setting vision and rolling up their sleeves to drive execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Brand Leadership• Develop and own the annual integrated marketing and sales strategy aligned to ATA’s revenue, growth, and retention objectives
• Establish and protect a consistent, compelling brand identity across all channels, campaigns, and customer touchpoints
• Lead full-funnel demand generation campaigns across web, email/SMS, social, events, paid media, and print
• Oversee content strategy and editorial direction to build thought leadership and audience engagement
• Drive digital marketing performance including SEO/SEM, website optimization, audience segmentation, and analytics
• Own and drive the sales pipeline from lead generation through close, ensuring alignment with marketing-generated demand
• Set and manage sales targets, KPIs, and forecasts; hold the team accountable to consistent performance metrics
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team—including account executives, business development, and inside sales
• Design and implement scalable sales processes, playbooks, and CRM workflows to improve pipeline velocity and win rates
• Cultivate and manage key customer and partner relationships to drive retention, upsell, and referral growth
• Partner with product and operations to ensure sales positioning is accurate, differentiated, and competitive
• Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary team including designers, writers, web specialists, video producers, and sales professionals
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture with clear accountability, regular feedback, and continuous development
• Define team structure and resource plans to support growth across both functions
• Champion cross-functional collaboration with product, operations, and executive stakeholders
• Manage the combined marketing and sales budget with a focus on ROI, efficiency, and strategic investment
• Oversee vendor and agency relationships across creative, digital, print, events, and sales enablement
• Optimize marketing and sales operations to improve speed, quality, and performance
• Support executive-level communications, board presentations, and high-visibility external initiatives
The VP of Marketing & Sales will be evaluated against a comprehensive set of performance indicators spanning both functions:
Revenue & Pipeline- Total revenue growth, sales pipeline value, win rate
Demand Generation- Qualified leads, MQL-to-SQL conversion, cost per lead, marketing-influenced pipeline
Campaign Performance- Email open/CTR rates, campaign ROI, conversion rates, cost per acquisition
Brand & Digital- Website traffic, organic growth, social reach, content engagement, brand sentiment
Sales Execution- Quota attainment, pipeline velocity, forecast accuracy, retention and upsell rates
Team & Operations- Team performance, delivery timelines, stakeholder satisfaction, budget adherence
Skills & ExperienceRequired Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience spanning both marketing and sales functions
• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through integrated marketing and sales strategies
• Proven track record building, managing, and scaling high-performance teams across multiple disciplines
• Deep expertise in demand generation, brand strategy, digital marketing, and full-funnel campaign execution
• Strong sales leadership background including pipeline management, forecasting, CRM optimization, and team coaching
• Data-driven decision-maker with fluency in marketing analytics, sales reporting, and performance measurement
• Experience managing significant budgets across both marketing and sales operations
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft), email/SMS tools, CMS, and marketing automation
• Experience in an association, membership organization, or B2B services environment
• Familiarity with creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and the ability to provide clear creative direction
• Event marketing and sponsorship sales experience
• Background in digital advertising, paid media, or performance marketing
• Experience with licensing or franchise business models
• Experience working within the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) model
• Strategic thinker who can set vision and drive execution with equal confidence
• Highly collaborative, with strong cross-functional instincts and executive presence
• Exceptional communicator and presenter—comfortable engaging boards, senior executives, and frontline teams
• Results-oriented, accountable, and comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced environments
