Production Supervisor General
Job Description
The Production Supervisor General plays a crucial role in coaching safety, quality, and productivity to ensure objectives are met through standardized work practices. This position involves monitoring occurrences and responding as secondary support, verifying process confirmations to ensure the line runs safely and smoothly while producing quality parts. The role supports continuous improvement and coaches problem resolution at the lowest level of the organization.

Responsibilities

Coach safety, quality, and productivity to meet objectives through standardized work.

Monitor occurrences and act as secondary support.

Verify that the production line runs safely and produces quality parts.

Support continuous improvement and problem resolution.

Facilitate communication and recognition within teams.

Build capability among Team Leaders and Team Members.

Create a conducive work environment for teams to complete tasks.

Administer supervisory responsibilities and documentation.

Optimize throughput according to budgets and cost objectives.

Identify and address sources of variation in the production environment.

Support concern resolution with cross‑functional teams, including Quality, production, and suppliers.

Essential Skills

Ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Capability to assign work to a unionized hourly workforce and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and throughput processes.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Ability to multi‑task effectively.

Proficient in problem‑solving and conflict management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in production supervision and manufacturing.
