Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll work on fast-paced, challenging, and varied projects, experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people. You will help ensure the Prime Video watching experience is delightful and consistent across devices and content types, with end-to-end ownership of product, user experience, design, and technology. You will have the opportunity to influence a roadmap that will be used by millions of viewers across 100s of devices in 250+ countries.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who is highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, and team oriented. You have a consistent track record of end-to-end ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You excel at influencing stakeholders, presenting your point of view, and collaborating with applied scientists and software engineers to deliver customer-facing technology products.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the Prime Video customers and the current viewer experiences. Experience running voice of the customer programs to guide product decisions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the digital video market segments, and continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends.
- Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, roadmap and supporting metrics required to deliver and enhance a best-in-class digital video customer experience.
- Own the development of detailed product requirements documents.
- Work cross-functionally with science, engineering, design, and project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap.
- Drive projects, products, and feature launches with other teams both inside and outside of the Prime Video team including: marketing, content acquisition, legal, finance, customer service, and operations.
About The Team
Prime Video's Global App Experience (GAE) organization is responsible for building a simple, intuitive, fast, responsive and personalized streaming experience for Prime Video customers WW, for web, mobile and living room devices. The Viewer Experience team within GAE is responsible for the in-playback experience, spanning player controls, X-Ray, recaps, in-playback content discovery, and more.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Master's degree in a technical field, or Master of Business Administration
- Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods
- Experience reviewing user research and data to build a strategic and user-friendly design
- 5+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Familiarity with modern GenAI or LLM tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
