Position Title: Director of Strategic Sales

Pay : $175,000-$200,000

The Director of Strategic Sales plays a critical role in advancing Stanislaus and Corto’s long-term sales strategy by focusing on high‑impact markets, strategic customer relationships, and data‑driven decision making. This role is responsible for deepening partnerships with key contract customers, supporting formulation and innovation needs in collaboration with Production, and translating data insights into actionable sales strategies.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Strategic Sales serves as a strategic connector across Sales, Production, Marketing, Finance, and other internal partners to ensure executional alignment and sustained growth.
This position will be primarily responsible for:
Strategic Market & Customer Leadership
- Own key strategic markets and customer segments, with accountability for performance, growth, and long‑term opportunity development
- Build and deepen relationships with distributors and customers, acting as a senior point of contact to strengthen partnership, trust, and strategic alignment
- Identify and advance new growth opportunities within existing customer relationships and targeted markets
- Work closely with Production and cross‑functional partners to support formulation development and customer‑specific needs
- Facilitate alignment between customer requirements, commercial strategy, and operational feasibility
- Support customer initiatives that require cross‑departmental coordination to ensure timely and effective execution
Data Analytics & Sales Strategy
- Lead data analytics and strategic insight development, including:
- Market, segment, and customer performance analysis
- Translate data into clear insights, recommendations, and strategic actions for Sales leadership
- Support forecasting, opportunity prioritization, and long‑term sales planning through data‑informed insights
Cross‑Functional & Enterprise Coordination
- Facilitate interdepartmental coordination on key sales‑driven projects and initiatives
- Serve as a strategic integrator between Sales, Production, Finance, Supply Chain, and other partners
- Ensure initiatives move forward with clarity of ownership, timing, and expected outcomes
Organizational Impact & Leadership
- Support the VP of Sales in translating sales strategy into execution across strategic initiatives
- Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and scalable ways of working aligned with enterprise goals
- Act as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership on strategic markets, customers, and growth opportunities
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in Sales, Strategic Accounts, or Commercial Strategy
- Proven experience managing strategic customers or key accounts
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with syndicated data (e.g., Circana or similar), distributor data, or sales analytics
- Demonstrated ability to influence across functions without direct authority
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, or CRM/reporting platforms
Candidate Preferences:
- Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or a related industry
- Experience partnering closely with Operations or Production teams
- Background in market strategy, segmentation, or customer‑driven innovation
Physical Requirements:
Moderate lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; moderate stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and moderate fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 25% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under moderate temperature variations and in an office environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
