Reports To : Assistant Dean

Hours : 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm. Occasional flexibility is required on evenings and weekends.

FLSA status : Non-exempt

Earliest Start Date : As soon as possible.

Salary : $35,200.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

Position Summary
Under moderate supervision, provides coordinating services, keeps official records, and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials, within area of assigned responsibility.

The Web and Digital Media Coordinator at the College of Liberal Arts – Office of the Dean is the point person for web, social media, and communication efforts across the college.

Performs web edits for the Office of the Dean webpages, manages the College social media accounts with regular updates, and oversees listserv distributions with standard communications.

Creates short-written articles highlighting the successes, achievements, and projects at the College of Liberal Arts.

Coordinates college-wide efforts to update webpages and successfully implements social media campaigns.

Acts as the liaison between the Office of the Dean and the various college departments and units as it relates to social media policy and practices.

Aids in creation of documents and materials that follow organizational standards and branding, in alignment with the Marketing and Communications department at UTEP.

Assists with major events and special activities at the College.

Coordinates the preparation of reports and studies on social media engagement and other related areas.

Establishes goals and objectives; develops priorities and standards for achieving goals; and coordinates evaluation efforts.

Implements techniques for evaluating web and social media efforts.

Coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance with university policies and procedures.

Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations.

Provides technical guidance for the Office of the Dean in relation to web and social media.

Represents the Office of the Dean and the College in committees or at meetings, conferences, and seminars.

Possesses knowledge of Microsoft Office software, web publishing, and is able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities : No supervisory responsibilities.
