Job Summary
World News Tonight with David Muir stands as the news division's premier broadcast, delivering up‑to‑the‑minute reporting and analysis on significant national and world events. As a Production Intern for the Fall 2026 term, you will support the award‑winning team that includes correspondents, producers, and off‑air reporters.

Approximate internship dates:

late August 2026 – early January 2027.

What You Will Do

Support all aspects of production, which may include video editing.

Conduct video and editorial research.

Log tape, source and clear video.

Pitch stories and book interviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Prior experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast) and/or television news production, news media production, and/or television news script writing.

Multitasking experience in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Experience working collaboratively and researching, and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with or curiosity about hard news – breaking, national and international news.

Previous internship experience in a professional newsroom setting.

Basic proficiency with non‑linear editing software (Avid specifically).

Education

Major or prior coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or a related field.

Junior or Senior year preferred.

Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree and taking at least one class at time of application, or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants may only work for one consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Possess unrestricted work authorization in the United States.

Additional Information

Consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.

Full availability to work 40 hours per week; hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and may include nights and/or weekends.

Must provide your own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area.

Must provide or have reliable transportation to/from work.

Approximate internship dates: late August 2026 through early January 2027.

Pay and Benefits
