POSITION OVERVIEW
This student internship, located in downtown Chicago, IL, offers students practical experience with audio and visual systems. Interns report directly to a Systems Supervisor; dates and hours are flexible and determined by the Court and each student. The position is unpaid and requires students to apply through the Court’s online applicant tracking system, submit a cover letter and resume, and earn school credit where possible.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in providing audio/visual systems support.
Move and connect mobile audio/visual/teleconferencing equipment.
Troubleshoot audio/visual/teleconferencing equipment for Court events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A candidate must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and meet the following qualifications:
Be punctual, detail‑oriented, and provide a high level of customer service.
Display a professional and positive demeanor and appropriate business/office wear for a court environment.
Be able to lift items in excess of 30 pounds.
Preference given to those pursuing a major or minor in Audio Visual Technology or Information Technology.
Adhere to court confidentiality requirements, Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees, computer security policy, and social media policy.
Undergo an FBI fingerprint check and periodic updates as a condition of employment.
Undergo a preliminary background investigation including fingerprint and criminal record check.
