Global Product Management (GPM) is accountable for global product platform profitability, and is responsible for product strategy, product lifecycle management, and product development. The GPM is the “thought leader” for their product platforms and has a deep understanding of the product competitiveness, cost structure, product performance, and value proposition. GPM’s work closely with Marketing, Sales, Technology, and Operations on product line optimization, and complexity reduction. GPM’s are the commercial leads for InnoHVision programs and are accountable for new product launches. GPM’s provide sales support, product training, pricing guidelines, and maintain product literature.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Increase product platform profitability, establish minimum pricing guidelines by application
Actively manage product lifecycles from creation through obsolescence
Work closely with Marketing and the Regional Sales teams to drive sales, and business development
Partner with Marketing to develop benchmarking data and clarify value propositions
Act as the commercial lead for InnoHVision programs and ECR’s
Coordinate with Marketing, Technology, and Operations for new product launches
Develop and communicate Multi-Generational Product Plan strategies for product platforms
Support Operations in capacity management and strategic expansion projects
Accountable for the LRP/AOP product planning
Responsible for product platform IP strategy
Maintain product literature (TDS, benchmarking) and provide source data for marketing communications and tradeshows
Keep current with applicable regulations and standards
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educations workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of experience in industrial marketing, sales, product management, and product development
Minimum of a BA or a BS (preferably in a technical discipline), MBA preferred
Experience in filtration/separation strongly preferred
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
Pricing, segmentation, product positioning, marketing communication, and strategy development
Sales and negotiation skills
Financial analytics and development of business cases for justification of investments
Superior written & verbal communication and presentation skills
Product costing and project management skills
Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Up to 25% travel
Schedule flexibility for periodic calls with global team members in other time zones
