Nutrition has an opening for a

Territory Sales Manager

(TSM) in the

NY/PA/OH

market. This position is responsible for growing

KENT®

products sales through maintaining, servicing, and growing a wholesale dealer network and prospecting and selling to end-user customers. This is a replacement salaried position that reports to the Director - Eastern Dealer Sales.
This role is designed and intended to be performed in

NY/PA/OH

region.
The compensation range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000, in addition to

KENT

standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with dealerships to grow products sales through direct sales calls, joint marketing efforts, education and training, dealer seminars and clinics, merchandising and product introductions and general support.
Responsible for annual business planning with dealerships. This includes developing sales goals, sales and marketing plans, promotions calendars, events, etc. that will support dealership growth and corporate sales goals.
Prospecting and developing new dealers in under-served geographies.
Prospecting and selling to end user customers, stables, farms, training facilities, etc.
Engaging and managing local brand ambassadors and brand enthusiasts for local promotions and brand building.
Engaging with local organizations, clubs, and associations to brand build, influence and educate toward the purchase of Kent® products.
Accountable for sales volume and profitability goals for assigned territory. Responsibly for annual goal setting, and quarterly and bi-annual business reviews.
Responsible for representing multiple-species including, but not limited to equine, poultry, dog and cat, beef, sheep, goat, and small animals.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preference given to degrees in animal science, equine nutrition or related field.
Currently lives in or is willing to relocate to western NY or western PA.
Strong working knowledge of feed and animal nutrition.
5 or more years of sales experience in animal nutrition and/or feed.
Preferred experience includes equine knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines.
Strong competitive nature and desire to sell.
Self-motivated, driven, and passionate about the industry.
Outgoing, personable, energetic, and engaging personality.
Relentless follow-through and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in presenting, writing, and one-on-one communications.
Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multitasking with minimal supervision.
Effective use of computer technology, including Microsoft Office applications.
TRAVEL EXPECTED:

Frequent travel expected. Overnight travel 20%.
