Responsibilities

Execute the scientific and regulatory affairs strategy and ensure regulatory compliance for your categories and geographical area.

Work with cross‑functional stakeholders to act on regulatory business risks and opportunities.

Advise and guide RDQ and business units on SARA opportunities and issues.

Provide scientific and regulatory expertise for technical regulatory developments and support crisis management.

Ensure ingredients, product composition, claims and labelling are compliant with regulations and company policies.

Communicate developments in scientific and regulatory affairs to stakeholders.

Propose and implement business solutions to external regulatory changes.

Develop a strong knowledge of regulatory, scientific and nutrition risks and opportunities in the market.

Represent the company at external meetings and advocate company positions.

Qualifications

Experience in scientific affairs (industry, governmental, association background).

Understanding of the regulatory framework in your geographical area.

Ability to build collaborative relationships.

Experience conducting technical assessments and supporting issue management and strategy development in the scientific affairs area.

Creative thinking and effective communication skills.

Project management experience.

Additional language skills for communications and correct interpretation of laws and regulations.

Knowledge of SARA core topics (e.g., flavors, additives, GMO, organic, dietary or religious suitability).

About the role
Experienced and mature Strategic Regulatory & Compliance Leader with a strong food science/technology background and deep understanding of food regulations to ensure product portfolio compliance. Proven experience representing organizations to government officials and trade associations (e.g., FTI) and exceptional stakeholder management skills. Capable of providing critical risk assessments to guide business decisions, focused on product compliance. People management experience is considered a significant advantage.
