The Consumer Banking Marketing Acquisition team is responsible for profitably growing the business through acquiring new customers and deepening relationships with existing customers.
As a Marketing Strategy Lead-Vice President on the Acquisition Marketing team, you will serve as the business owner of Consumer Banking account opening performance—owning end-to-end visibility into results, trends, and drivers, and influencing cross-functional teams to improve outcomes. You will also lead development and execution of a multi-year strategic transformation of Acquisition marketing across channels, offers, segmentation, targeting, creative, and operating cadence to deliver ambitious Consumer Banking growth targets.
Job Responsibilities
Own Account Opening Performance Leadership:
Own a holistic view of Consumer Banking account opening performance, including tracking, analysis, and narrative on trends, drivers, and key risks/opportunities.
Synthesize complex performance drivers into clear executive-level reporting and recommendations for Senior Line of Business leaders.
Partner with teams responsible for account growth (e.g., Acquisition, Shopping, Risk and related stakeholders) to help drive cross-functional initiatives that remove friction from the account opening journey and improve both volume and quality of accounts opened.
Strategic Planning & Growth Transformation:
Lead creation of a multi-year strategic plan to deliver on overall business growth goals by establishing stretch targets and success metrics.
Organize and lead cross-functional working teams to define problem/opportunity statements, diagnose root causes, and build a quarterly roadmap for a multi-year horizon.
Provide ongoing executive updates and act as a strategic advisor as the approach scales and is adopted across broader leadership organizations.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
5+ years of relevant experience in strategy, product, marketing, growth, analytics, or general management, ideally within financial services, consumer fintech, or a highly regulated consumer business.
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
Strong analytical orientation: ability to diagnose drivers of funnel performance, customer behavior, and channel effectiveness, and convert insights into actions.
Exceptional executive communication skills, including ability to craft concise performance narratives, present tradeoffs, and drive decisions.
Strong strategic planning capability—experience building multi-year strategies, translating vision into an execution roadmap, and driving measurable outcomes.
Has deep performance marketing experience in traditional direct response and digital marketing channels.
Is experienced manager of marketing budgets, forecasts, and expected returns.
Has ability to build a robust program roadmap and test‑and‑learn agenda through business case creation and project prioritization.
Skilled working in a highly matrixed organization and using data to influence stakeholders and partners.
Is vigorous and thorough in their management of details; proven ability to take initiative.
Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines.
