Project Kickoff:
Summer 2026
Project Background
High Point Discovered (HPD) seeks a professional video production partner to produce a series of 8-10 cinematic short films as part of a two-year collaborative storytelling and advocacy initiative, Stories for a Healthier High Point (SHHP). This grant-funded project aims to elevate lived experiences and address health inequities rooted in the social determinants of health, such as housing, food security, and behavioral health, within High Point, NC. The project will bring together a variety of participating nonprofits that have insights into our community health, to better tell a cohesive story about the imperative and interconnected nature of community health work.
HPD is a nonprofit organization that communicates the stories of High Point to connect citizens and catalyze economic growth. Through our storytelling efforts, we are uniquely positioned with a creative lens and an authentic voice to bring together the narratives of this project to tell a cohesive narrative.
HPD is serving as the project lead, with guidance and direction from an external steering committee of local nonprofit leaders. A consultant Project Manager serves as the central coordinator and project facilitator, managing timelines, partner communications, logistics, and scheduling. HPD’s Creative Director oversees narrative development, and provides production oversight, creative direction and feedback. The HPD internal creative team can provide collaborative support on graphic and asset needs, as well as ensuring brand alignment.
HPD will facilitate a series of community listening sessions prior to production to identify key narratives and interview subjects for the film series. The selected vendor will work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Creative Director, providing comprehensive video production services, including shooting, editing, and final production.
