What You’ll Do

Lead 3D design across a range of environments, including stages, general sessions, expo floors, lounges, booths, and branded installations

Own the development of environments as integrated systems, balancing creative intent with technical feasibility, budget, and production realities

Translate creative direction into spatial concepts, layouts, and photorealistic renderings

Design environments that integrate scenic, lighting, media, and digital elements into cohesive experiences

Guide key design decisions across scenic, lighting, and media to elevate the overall audience experience

Build and maintain clear, comprehensive design packages to communicate vision across internal teams, clients, and vendors

Partner closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned to budget

Iterate quickly based on feedback while maintaining design integrity

Support RFP and pitch efforts through concept visualization and early-stage design exploration

Participate in key production milestones and support onsite execution as needed

Who You Are

10+ years of experience designing spatial environments for live events, conferences, experiential marketing, or broadcast

Strong experience leading the design of large-scale or general session environments, with the ability to flex across other formats (expo, booths, lounges, installations)

Deep understanding of:

LED and screen integration

Spatial and rigging considerations

Proficiency in industry tools such as Vectorworks, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar

Experience with rendering tools (Redshift, Unreal, Twinmotion, or equivalent)

Experience working on complex, multi-stakeholder programs

Ability to move seamlessly between creative ideation and technical execution

Success in This Role

Acts as a trusted design lead, bringing clarity and direction across Creative, Production, and Technical teams

Designs environments that are both visually compelling and fully buildable across a range of formats

Translates creative intent cleanly from concept through render to show site

Anticipates challenges early and proactively solves for design, build, and execution constraints

Brings structure and clarity to complex ideas, helping teams move from vision to execution

Collaborates effectively across disciplines, elevating the overall experience, not just individual elements

Consistently uses stage and environment design as a storytelling tool within the broader program
