Carpenter responsibilities include studying blueprints, preparing layouts, assembling materials, verifying structures, erecting frameworks, constructing forms, cutting openings, measuring, cutting, and fastening siding, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Minimum of three years' experience in commercial construction is required. Knowledge of safety policies, operation of tools, mathematics, and working at heights is necessary. Travel may be required. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 100 pounds, and exposure to various environmental conditions. This position frequently requires longer hours and weekend hours.
