Senior Ad Sales Research Analyst

Job Summary:

An industry-leading media and entertainment organization is seeking a Senior Ad Sales Research Analyst to support the Ad Sales Insights team through audience measurement, advertising analytics, and strategic storytelling. This role focuses on analyzing audience trends, campaign performance, and market intelligence to deliver actionable insights that support advertising sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, presentation, and media research skills with hands-on experience using Nielsen measurement platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze audience behavior, television ratings, advertising performance, and market trends to generate strategic business insights

• Develop client-ready reports, dashboards, presentations, and data visualizations using Excel and PowerPoint

• Support advertising sales initiatives through audience measurement analysis and campaign performance reporting

• Utilize media measurement and analytics tools to evaluate advertising effectiveness and audience engagement

• Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and content teams to deliver revenue-driving insights and recommendations

• Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external stakeholders

• Monitor industry trends, competitor performance, and consumer viewing behavior to support strategic planning

• Assist with ad hoc research requests, audience analysis, and sales presentations as needed


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business, Analytics, or related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in media research, marketing analytics, audience measurement, or ad sales analytics

• Prior experience within the entertainment, advertising, or media industry is required

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Hands-on experience with Nielsen nPower and Nielsen Ad Intel

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills

• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities with experience presenting insights to stakeholders

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in a temporary contract role


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Comscore, MRI, VideoAmp, and iSpot

• Familiarity with audience segmentation, campaign measurement, and media planning tools

• Experience creating executive-level presentations and client-facing analytics reports

• Knowledge of advertising effectiveness metrics and media consumption trends

Pay Range: $45/hr to $50/hr
