Graphics Adjunct

Job Description:

The Art & Architecture Department is seeking adjunct instructors for Spring 2026.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in art with a concentration in graphic design from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred; candidates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and substantial professional web design experience are encouraged to apply.
3 years of experience in the field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will be designers specializing in web and interactive design with related professional experience.
Thorough proficiencies with current industry standard software programs, languages and web standards are required.
The college seeks educators who have experience working with students from widely diverse backgrounds.
Prior college teaching experience.
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The ability to encourage student success is essential to teaching at Onondaga Community College.
Additional Information:

Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
