The Audio Visual Tech III ("Tecnico de Audiovisual") supports hotel meetings, conferences, banquets, and special events with minimum supervision by setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Set up, operate, and strike audiovisual equipment including microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, displays, cameras, and conferencing systems.
Support single- and multi-room events, as well as multi-day programs with room turns and quick changeovers.
Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), technical run-of-shows, event schedules, and management direction.
Respond promptly and professionally to event changes and last-minute requests.
Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure smooth presentations and minimal disruptions.
Troubleshoot basic audio, video, and connectivity issues.
Support video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.
Escalate complex technical issues to management when necessary.
Perform pre- and post-event equipment inspections and report repair needs.
Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
Run, secure, and dress cables in accordance with safety standards and company guidelines.
Maintain accurate inventory and report damaged or missing equipment.
Interact professionally with hotel guests, meeting planners, presenters, and internal teams.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of AV storage and work areas.
Follow all hotel standards, safety protocols, and departmental procedures.
Work closely with Conference Services, Catering, Sales, and Banquet teams to deliver high-quality technical execution and exceptional guest experiences.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2-3 years of relevant experience and/or training.
A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
Previous similar position in live audio-visual production, hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot PC and Mac laptops used for presentations, media playback, and virtual meeting platform.
Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
