Position Summary: This position will assist the full-time copywriter and editor in writing content for our blog, and other various formats including emails, postcards, print materials, and more. They will also assist with editing and proofreading other materials provided by departments across campus.
Qualifications for Position:
Minimum 2.75 GPA
Able to work independently
Strong character and integrity
Excellent writing skills
Thorough knowledge of English grammar
English major or minor is preferred
Careful attention to detail
Creative thinking
Organized, proactive, and eager to learn
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate loves Covenant and wants to be a part of sharing our story with prospective students, parents, and alumni. The purpose is to develop compelling and emotionally engaging written content that portrays the community, academic excellence, spiritual formation, and professional development that a Covenant education provides. Our goal for this position is to provide relevant work experience that can be used on your résumé as you enter the workforce post-Covenant. Draft clear, compelling copy in a variety of formats: emails, letters, articles, social media posts, and more
Edit/proofread/revise letters, emails, and other drafts from offices around campus
Brainstorm content for our Blue Tribune blog
Produce regular content for use on the Blue Tribune blog and other formats
Work on other projects and duties as needed
