Business Development Manager (Logistics Sales)

Cargo Jet Logistics is actively seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Schaumburg, IL.

We are looking for a results-driven outside sales professional with a transferable book of business within the logistics and transportation industry. This is not an entry-level role — we are specifically seeking experienced professionals who can immediately contribute revenue and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage new business opportunities within the freight/logistics sector

Maintain and grow a transferable book of business

Conduct outside sales meetings, prospecting, and closing deals

Build long-term relationships with shippers and decision-makers

Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless customer onboarding

Meet and exceed revenue and margin targets

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of logistics sales experience (required)

Proven track record in freight brokerage or transportation sales

Must bring an active, transferable book of business

Strong negotiation and closing skills

Self-motivated with hunter mentality

Ability to commute daily to our Schaumburg headquarters

Willingness to spend significant time in the field developing new prospects
