Program Supervisor
Full time, non‑exempt, hourly. Responsible for supervising Direct Support Professionals and overseeing day‑to‑day operations of the program, including delivery of supports, implementation of person‑centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, regulatory compliance, and physical environment oversight.
Essential Job Functions
Services and Supports
Work as a Direct Support Professional on scheduled shifts.
Document records, review billing and program documentation daily, maintain confidentiality, direct DSPs to ensure accuracy.
Assist the Program Director in developing individual program plans; train and monitor implementation.
Attend and assist with routine progress meetings.
Maintain licensing compliance, implement Network compliance plan, manage individual rights.
When assigned, safeguard the individual’s funds, monitor spending, reconcile financial accounts monthly.
Document incident reports and submit initial reports to the Program Director.
Compile and submit census or attendance data, verify accuracy and submit to billing authority.
Health Care
Monitor health, document, communicate with medical professionals, implement preventive strategies.
Schedule and assist with health care appointments, accompany individuals, document visits, follow through orders, communicate results.
Accurately administer and document medications, review other medication documentation, train DSPs, maintain medication security.
Purchase and maintain medical supplies and equipment in consultation with Program Director.
Oversee food service or purchase food in accordance with menu plans and individual choice.
Stakeholder Relations
Maintain productive relations with individuals, families, case managers and other stakeholders.
Implement Network Customer Service Standards; train DSPs in delivery.
Personnel
Assist with recruitment, interview, and hire DSPs with Program Director approval.
Populate and maintain schedule, covering shifts and minimizing overtime.
Assist onboarding, deliver orientation and ongoing training.
Prepare and conduct annual evaluations for DSPs with Program Director.
Coach employees, remove or recommend termination when necessary, consult Program Director.
Ensure employee safety and workers’ compensation compliance, monitor safety standards.
Lead and document monthly program meetings for DSPs.
Financial Management
Purchase office supplies, food, household supplies; attests credit card statements and invoices.
Review census and attendance for accurate billing; monitor utilization.
Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
Maintenance
Inspect vehicles, report safety concerns, maintain cleanliness, train staff on safe operation.
Schedule and monitor housekeeping, space decoration, lawn & yard care.
Arrange or make minor repairs, schedule maintenance personnel.
Monitor environmental safety, temperature checks, safety alarms and extinguishers, replace filters monthly.
Monitor safety equipment, ensure prompt repairs.
Other Duties
Perform other related duties and activities as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise Direct Support Professionals.
Qualifications
Experience providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities would be preferred.
Minimum age 18.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all personnel.
Capable of handling confidential information responsibly.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Meet all agency pre‑employment requirements.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year related work experience.
Must be 18 years or older.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation.
Other licensure or certification as required by regulatory authority.
Physical Requirements
Heavy work: up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds constantly.
