Job Summary
The Utah Jazz is looking for a skilled and dedicated Team Photographer to capture high‑quality images of home and road games, community outreach events, and other key moments. The ideal candidate will have experience in sports photography, photo management and editing, collaboration with various departments, and the ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes. They must maintain a high level of professional decorum, confidentiality, and be willing to travel throughout the year.

Duties & Responsibilities

Capture dynamic in‑game and pre‑game photos during Utah Jazz home and road games.

Organize, manage, and process internal and external photography requests; ensure timely delivery of images to the social team and stakeholders.

Lead and conceptualize editorial or studio‑style photography shoots.

Cover community outreach, corporate partnership, and special events; highlight the organization’s initiatives.

Edit and prepare photos for use across Utah Jazz digital platforms and creative assets.

Execute digital asset management workflows to build and maintain the photo database via ScorePlay or similar systems.

Operate high‑end video cameras and audio equipment as needed.

Collaborate closely with basketball operations, creative, social media, and video teams.

Mentor and guide a photography intern, supporting their coverage of games and events.

Protect the company’s reputation and exemplify Utah Jazz mission and values.

Qualifications

Proven experience capturing in‑game and pre‑game photography for professional sports.

Strong photo management and editorial skills, including editing and asset organization.

Ability to lead creative shoots, both editorial and studio style.

Familiarity with digital asset management tools such as ScorePlay.

Technical proficiency with high‑end video and audio equipment.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring.

Capability to travel and work long periods of time, including outside‐of‑season events.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and physically endure extended periods of standing and walking.
