We have an opening for a Marketing Specialist to join our team.

The Marketing Specialist supports the development and execution of marketing strategies across branded products, industry initiatives, and internal communications. This role manages day‑to‑day marketing activities including market research, campaign planning, content creation, vendor coordination, trade show execution, and event planning. The position also oversees the company’s digital presence through website updates and social media management, ensuring marketing materials and messaging are consistent, effective, and aligned with business goals.

Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 270+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3‑5 years.

Responsibilities

Strategy for each marketing avenue

Market research

Develop and execute plans to test new items/flavors/packaging to gauge customer interest and appeal

Review market sales data & trade publications to identify trends and opportunities

Competitive analysis and in‑store reach

Marketing plan

Budget

Timeline

Measurables

Develop, create, and maintain marketing collateral

Posters, signs, sell sheets, presentations, swag, trade show booth, etc.

Manage marketing vendors

Website hosting & development in collaboration with IT

Graphic design

Print/collateral

Tradeshow plan and execution

Registration

Booth design

Product and collateral logistics

Social media management

Manage and maintain company social media presence across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) with regular, engaging content

Maintain company and brand websites, including updating content, images, and functionality as needed

Plan and coordinate company events and engagement activities

Company‑wide events

Milestone celebrations

External‑facing events

Coordinate event logistics including vendors, food, materials, scheduling, and communication

Provide backup support to customer service

Customer order entry

Shortage communication and follow‑up

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field

1‑3 years of experience in a marketing role

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media platforms, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite (or Canva)

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Strong administrative and organizational skills and attention to detail

Prior experience with event planning preferred

Knowledgeable in a CRM system preferred

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Schedule

Flexible around normal business hours (1st shift M‑F)
