Sr. Digital Product Designer
Remote position with minimal travel to selected hospital sites.

This contract opportunity allows W2 only, no Agency or C2C, Sponsorship due to company policy.

Job Description
The Digital Experience & Research team seeks a Senior UX/UI Product Design Specialist to support clinical portfolios and create user-centered experiences for clinicians and staff.

Job Duties

Lead end-to-end research and design efforts from discovery to delivery, including scoping, planning, workshop facilitation, prioritization, tracking, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research; synthesize and communicate actionable findings effectively; produce research artifacts such as journey maps and reports.

Meet with stakeholders and users to identify research and design opportunities.

Partner with multiple product pods and collaborate with product, engineering, and other designers to create concepts and designs, gather feedback and rapidly iterate, set OKRs, and measure work.

Ensure designs are informed by research and address business and stakeholder needs.

Follow established research and design processes and ensure designs are aligned with design systems and standards.

Deliver design assets, including experience visions, wireframes, prototypes, and flow diagrams.

Contribute to the research and design community of practice and advocate for human-centered design practices.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

4+ years of professional experience in research, service design, systems thinking, and/or product design.

4+ years of strong knowledge of human-centered design (HCD) principles and experience applying a variety of methods to meet the needs of users and business stakeholders.

4+ years of experience conducting research, from informal user feedback sessions to structured qualitative studies, including interviews and evaluative research.

4+ years of experience designing within complex ecosystems, such as omnichannel services, in-house applications, or office, clinical, or enterprise software.

2+ years of expert experience with Figma and FigJam.

Portfolio required: include a link to your portfolio in your resume, including both research and design case studies or examples.

Preferred and Soft Skills

Experience working in an innovation pod or start-up environment.

Experience designing integrations using established design systems and libraries; familiarity with EHR design systems is a plus.

Experience designing for healthcare systems and clinical workflows.

Experience with quantitative research methods.

Experience designing AI-enabled applications.

Ability to work in ambiguous spaces, identify design opportunities, and iteratively evaluate and refine concepts.

Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage research and design feedback.

Strong facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; fast at designing and adapting.

Experience mentoring other researchers and designers.

Travel
Some limited travel may be required for research, on-site meetings, and team-building activities.

Compensation
The starting hourly range for this remote role is $66–70 per hour (W2). Actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
