DBS Bank is seeking a highly motivated Private Funds Sector Relationship Manager responsible for the coverage of large U.S. headquartered global private equity, private credit, and alternative asset manager firms. In this role, the candidate will drive business development, deepen client relationships and have a solid knowledge of the structuring and execution of fund-level financing solutions, with a primary focus on subscription finance. The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge across capital markets and transaction services products, with a client solutions driven approach. This includes the ability to collaborate across DBS’s internal industry verticals and FIG partners to help unlock broader opportunities tied to private fund portfolio companies.

About the Role
To deliver financial KPI’s for new and existing business. To develop new and existing FIG client relationships in line with Group strategy and risk appetite.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue growth through existing client management, new client acquisitions, cross selling, and upselling opportunities, with an emphasis on Asia connectivity.

Originate new business opportunities for subscription finance facilities, global transaction services (notably within the APAC region) and capital markets solutions, including foreign exchange and derivatives hedging solutions.

Build good working relationships with key stakeholders including product partners, Legal and Compliance, Credit Risk, FIG Singapore and other FIG and Industry overseas centers.

Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g. SEC, FINRA and etc.) and guidelines.

Proficiency in structuring multi-type subscription finance transactions tailored to meet private fund client needs, with expertise across investor borrowing base analysis, structural components unique to subscription lines and other alternative asset manager credit transactions.

Oversee the end-to-end execution of private fund transactions, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion.

Perform deep-dive sector and individual client risk assessments, with actionable insights on market, industry sector, investor, and other risks, structural inefficiencies, within a backdrop of both domestic and international markets.

Ensure all business is in line with Group Risk strategy, including the production of concise credit analysis (undertaken both locally in the U.S. and by FIG Singapore) in coordination with FIG Risk Management, as well as ongoing risk monitoring of the U.S. portfolio.

Cultivate and manage c-suite level and beyond relationships within the global insurance sector, including global life and non-life (re)insurers, industry partners and other sector stakeholders.

Drive revenue growth through existing client management, new client acquisitions, cross selling, and upselling opportunities within the insurance capital markets and cash management product arenas, with an emphasis on Asia connectivity.

Represent DBS in high-level, strategic discussions and industry events, promoting the firm’s value proposition to key decision makers.

Identify ancillary business opportunities and client solutions for global transaction services offered within DBS’s core Asia regions, including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, and Taiwan, as well as client hedging solutions for foreign exchange, rates, repo and other capital markets products, with an ability to oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion.

Qualifications

6-10 years of private funds sector coverage experience, with a proven track record in structuring and executing subscription finance transactions.

Public funds asset management and insurance sector experience are a plus.

Expertise in risk analysis necessary for conducting informed risk assessments and long-term financial forecasts.

Solid working knowledge of capital markets and cash management sales abilities within a public funds sector framework.

Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen.

Excellent communication and presentations skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to key internal and external stakeholders.
