Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
The Coordinator III, Marketing supervises marketing staff, oversees the college’s website and social media presence, and ensures that all marketing initiatives are visually compelling, engaging, and effective for target audiences. The role acts as the primary liaison between customers, designers and developers, defines approaches and models to collect and document customer requirements, provides training and support to end‑users, advises and leads customers to solutions while meeting system and process requirements, and works with project teams to facilitate design of components of the Content Management System.
Essential Job Functions
Supervise Marketing staff and daily operations for the Digital Marketing Intelligence Center
Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy
Research and apply new trends to enhance the user experience and increase engagement on all communication platforms
Serve as project coordinator for major marketing events and initiatives
Act as author and trainer for the Content Management System, SharePoint, and digital marketing and data analytics tools
Analyze data to make informed marketing decisions and create dashboards that highlight key data, trends, and opportunities
Act as liaison between content owners, customers, end users, designers, and developers to ensure all protocols are followed and customer needs are met
Consult with customers to identify web needs and advise on acceptable solutions
Serve as project manager for campus‑based web initiatives, ensuring proper use of resources
Create and design interfaces that ensure optimal usability for multiple audiences and are compliant with Section 508 and other accessibility regulations
Create templates, navigation structures, and other graphic elements
Coordinate messaging and visual displays of all electronic advertising via the campus plasma screen messaging system
Prepare illustrations for use in documents and the web by using graphic design hardware and software
Arrange publications and page layouts according to aesthetic and branding standards, applying knowledge of layout and computer software
Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with web and marketing analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Adwords
Experience with website usability, responsive (mobile), email engagement, and social media strategy
Graphic design skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a student‑centered, team‑oriented environment
Strong writing, editing, project management, and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Adaptability in a changing environment
Experience working on a database‑driven enterprise‑level website in environments such as ColdFusion, ASP, or ASP.NET
Physical Abilities
The role is primarily sedentary; occasional walking, standing, bending, and light carrying may occur. No special physical demands are required.
Work Schedule & Conditions
PC workstation on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, including calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out position functions
Work performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with content management systems (e.g., Estrada, Vignette)
Experience with portal design and implementation
Experience in marketing or journalism
Experience with digital photography
Experience with Adobe Photoshop
Experience with Adobe software programs
Experience in public relations, marketing, or communications
Salary Range
Hiring salary range is $48,152 – $55,375.
