The Opportunity

We are expanding into the USA market and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to spearhead our growth. This is a pivotal role that will shape the success of our entry into the US pharmaceutical sector. If you are a self-starter with a passion for healthcare innovation and a proven track record in selling advertising/marketing solutions to marketers and brand managers in pharma industry, we want to hear from you.

Note:

  • This role will start as a consulting/contract role and has the opportunity to elevate to a permanent one based on performance
  • This is a hands-on hunter role focused on directly engaging with clients and driving new business. The ideal candidate will actively generate leads, manage the sales cycle, and close deals independently. Please note, this is not a team management role; we are looking for an individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with MedSynapse's growth objectives for selling HCP engagement, marketing and advertising to brand managers in US pharmaceutical market.
  • Client Engagement: Leverage your extensive network to build and maintain strong relationships with marketing and brand managers in pharmaceutical companies.
  • Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by understanding clients' digital HCP engagement and communication needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive sales initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets, building business from the ground up.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Travel: Regularly travel within the US East Coast to engage with clients and attend industry events.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in healthcare sector sales, specifically selling digital marketing/advertising solutions to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical digital landscape and a strong network within the marketing/commercial divisions of pharma companies on the US East Coast.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrable success in a senior sales role with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, and a go-getter with the ability to work independently.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
