Responsibilities
A graphic designer contributes directly to enrollment growth and revenue, bringing Husson’s brand to life across all visual touchpoints. The role involves creating print and multimedia designs that strengthen brand presence, delivering high‑impact visual communication, and managing diverse projects in a collaborative setting. It is an on‑site position performed on campus.
Support the Marketing & Communications, Advancement and Enrollment Management Offices with marketing, branding, and event initiatives.
Design and develop print and digital materials (brochures, publications, flyers, event programs, posters, environmental graphics, advertisements, graphic for web, email, social media and digital signage) from concept to completion.
Demonstrate creative solutions for print and digital projects.
Write/review specifications and request quotes.
Enhance and manipulate images for optimal quality across platforms.
Implement identity and brand guidelines across all platforms.
Integrate creative direction and feedback to refine deliverables.
Prepare print projects for production both internally and externally.
Ensure alignment with graphic and brand standards.
Work self‑directed and as part of a team, seek help when needed.
Assist with creation of creative templates and tools for departments.
Assist with maintaining a digital asset library, templates and design systems.
Implement accessibility, usability, and responsive design best practices.
Manage multiple projects concurrently using Hive, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Monitor project progress and communicate issues to supervisor.
Review work with department lead and stakeholders.
Coordinate internal and external marketing projects.
Collaborate with content creators, photographers and department colleagues to produce cohesive, visually consistent messaging.
Collaborate with campus stakeholders to maintain brand identity and support marketing & communications in refining brand identity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in visual communication/graphic design from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three years of professional graphic design experience, including digital content support.
Proficiency in production, MacOS, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Office.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail, within a deadline‑driven environment, using a project management system.
Experience working in a content management system and an email marketing system.
Proven history of successful collaboration across teams and units, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to exercise independent creative judgment.
Ability to prioritize and organize with strong organizational skills.
Ability to acquire and analyze information independently.
Ownership of strategies.
Detail oriented, with excellent time management and communication skills.
