Position Summary
Mohawk Valley Garden (MVG) is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the day‑to‑day execution, organization, and growth of marketing efforts across our portfolio of sports teams, restaurants, and live events. The role is a critical operator within the organization, responsible for turning ideas into action, aligning multiple departments, and ensuring all marketing initiatives are executed with clarity, consistency, and purpose.

Core Responsibilities
Marketing Operations & Project Management

Own the day‑to‑day workflow of the marketing department across all MVG properties

Build and maintain a centralized marketing calendar (games, events, promotions, campaigns, restaurant initiatives)

Coordinate and manage all inbound marketing requests from internal stakeholders (Comets, City FC, restaurants, events, partnerships)

Organize photo/video shoots, campaign timelines, and deliverables

Ensure all marketing projects are completed on time and aligned with brand standards

Work with marketing and advertising partners across the region

Campaign Planning & Execution

Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across: Utica Comets (AHL), Utica City FC (MASL), Tailor and the Cook, Kookie’s Q & Creamery, Babe’s at Harbor Point

Collaborate with sales, partnerships, and operations teams to support ticket sales, events, and revenue initiatives

Assist in developing promotional strategies for games, events, and restaurant activations

Track campaign performance and adjust strategies based on results

Content & Creative Coordination

Work closely with the creative team (design, video, social) to: assign projects, manage timelines, and ensure consistency across all platforms

Help develop and maintain a content calendar across all brands

Ensure all outbound content aligns with MVG’s voice, identity, and goals

Serve as a quality control checkpoint for marketing materials

Brand & Communication Alignment

Maintain consistency across all MVG brands while respecting each property’s unique identity

Help build and enforce brand standards, guidelines, and messaging

Improve internal communication between departments to ensure alignment and efficiency

Act as a central point of contact for marketing‑related communication

Event & Game Support

Support marketing execution for all home games, events, and major initiatives

Coordinate promotional elements, in‑game activations, and fan engagement strategies

Assist in planning and executing signature events and themed nights

Ensure marketing presence is consistent across all live experiences

Qualifications

Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

1‑2 years of experience in marketing, project management, or related field (sports, hospitality, or entertainment preferred)

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience working cross‑functionally with creative, sales, and operations teams

Understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content strategy

Ability to think both strategically and tactically

Strong communication and leadership skills

Passion for sports, food, events, and community engagement
