Job Summary
WFSB is looking for an experienced Anchor/Reporter to join the award-winning Eyewitness News team. The successful candidate will anchor weekend evening news on air and across digital and social platforms, perform general assignment reporter duties during the week, and fill in weekday anchoring as needed.

Responsibilities

Anchor weekend evening news on air and across digital and social platforms.

Perform general assignment reporter duties during the week.

Fill-in weekday anchoring as needed.

Actively engage with audiences on social and digital channels.

Generate hard news and enterprise stories.

Attend community events.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

3-5 years of experience as an anchor and reporter.

Experience using Avid, internet production tools, and iNews is a plus.

Advanced understanding of newscast presentation.

Excellent writing and graphics skills with the ability to provide an interesting and substantive product.

Results‑oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to coordinate daily and long‑range segments from first contact to on‑air product.

Strong multitasking: manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.

Previous experience with script writing and editorial work preferred.

Ability to work a flexible schedule and as a member of a team.

Must be able to make quick decisions without losing composure.

Ability to work in a creative, fast‑paced environment.

10% travel required.
