Marketing Specialist

What you'll do
As a Marketing Specialist you will support the marketing team from creative development to implementation, assisting in the evaluation of marketing strategy and plan. Your responsibilities include contributing to the execution of public relations, events, advertising marketing collateral, and website development. You will perform basic project management functions, maintaining production and event calendars and coordinating with vendors and media partners. Additional duties involve providing general administrative support such as making travel arrangements, event planning and logistical coordination, creating meeting agendas, taking minutes, and helping compliance officers ensure all promotional materials meet regulatory guidelines.

Assist the Marketing Manager with copywriting, design, printing and distribution of all sales material including statement inserts, branch collateral, direct mail, email, presentations, newsletters, banners, booths, promotional items, and websites.

Support the creation and hosting of bank-hosted or sponsored events.

Establish and monitor project timelines to meet deadlines for collateral production and advertising placements for business development events, tradeshows, and community sponsorships.

Monitor and maintain internal marketing material inventories, fulfilling collateral and promotional item requests.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and vendors through various communication strategies and vehicles.

Maintain compliance approvals for auditing purposes.

Pull regular reports to assess whether metrics are met by marketing campaigns or initiatives.

Provide logistical support through planning, scheduling and coordination for meetings and large events such as cross‑functional events, conferences, department activities, and employee events.

Develop meeting agendas, take and distribute minutes, and track and follow up on action items.

Offer general administrative assistance as backup support for other positions.

What you'll need

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Entry–level knowledge of marketing campaign management across channels and marketing processes, including creative work, messaging, and working with agencies and vendors.

Entry–level knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

Entry–level proficiency in marketing program management tools such as Workfront or similar project management software.

Entry–level proficiency in writing and editing marketing communications. Experience with Canva or similar tools is a plus.

Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Occasional travel required.
