Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE)
Position: Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE)

Location: Northern Virginia (NoVA)

Role Overview: Cipher Tech is seeking fully cleared individuals with polygraphs for on‑government site work. The role focuses on digital forensics and malware reverse engineering, supporting mission critical work for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities

Perform digital forensic investigations on computers, phones, tablets, cameras, flash drives, and other digital media.

Analyze malicious code to understand infection mechanisms, information-stealing behaviors, communication with authors, and possible actors.

Qualifications
Attention to all military personnel:

Army: MOS 35L, 35M, 35N, 35P, 35S and 31D or any 35 series, with or without an additional skills identifier of 1D (Digital Media Collector) or Digital Forensics background.

Navy: MOS IS‑3913 (Navy Tactical Counter‑Intelligence and Human Intelligence Specialist).

Marines: MOS 0231, 2600 (Intelligence Specialist).

Military Police: MOS with a P7 additional skills identifier.

Other branches: Any intelligence background with a specialization in Digital Forensics.

Additional requirements: U.S. Government Security Clearance and a polygraph test.

Salary
Hourly rate ranges from $36.06 to $144.23, depending on skills, education, expertise, experience, location, clearance requirements, and contract type.
