More About the Opportunity We are hoping you will join us as a Marketing and Outreach Specialist Sr and help shape the future of healthcare where you’ll be an integral part of our Communications team, helping to strive for excellence while we serve our member health with dignity, respecting the value and needs of each of our members through collaboration with our providers, community partners and local stakeholders. This position has been approved to be Full Telework. If telework is approved, you are required to work within the State of California only and if Partial Telework, also come in to the Main Office in Orange, CA, at least two (2) days per week minimum.
The Marketing and Outreach Specialist Sr will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of marketing programs, advertising campaigns and strategic partnerships to support CalOptima Health's programs. You’ll act as a liaison with various departments and programs in need of marketing and outreach services, including but not limited to OneCare, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), Equity and Community Health, Covered California, Provider Relations and Community Relations. Additionally, you’ll assist internal clients in developing marketing collateral, advertisements and direct mailers, and coordinating events to support program goals. Finally, you also track and analyze campaign results to help advance CalOptima Health’s overall brand and enhance enrollment efforts. Your Contributions To the Team:
95% - Marketing and Communications Support
Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
Assists with the development of advertising campaigns and manages the day-to-day tactics and activities.
Develops marketing and advertising materials in collaboration with internal clients, the Communications management team and the Member Materials Approval (MMA) review team.
Interacts directly with internal clients and graphic design staff throughout the design project lifecycle to ensure materials meet client needs and content/graphic standards.
Interfaces with marketing/advertising agencies and media/print vendors to effectively manage campaign deliverables.
Tracks campaign metrics and provides analyses of key findings to the Sr Manager of Marketing and Outreach.
Meets regularly and works with internal business owners to analyze marketing challenges and competitive activity, develop tracking tools to measure results and make strategic adjustments when necessary.
Coordinates with other CalOptima Health departments for procurement, printing, proofing and inventory control.
Ensures compliance with all applicable Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) and Covered California sales and marketing policies, rules and regulations.
Serves as backup for the Sr Manager of Marketing and Outreach, as needed.

Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
Do You Have What the Role Requires?
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or health care administration, PLUS 5 years of experience working in a health care or community-based organization required; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.
3 years of experience in marketing and outreach for a health maintenance organization (HMO), Medi-Cal/Medicaid, Medicare or Covered California plan required.
Experience designing and implementing operational performance measures and tracking and reporting business results required.

Our current hiring range is: Pay Grade: 308 - $64,165 - $102,664 ($30.85 - $49.3577). The final salary offered will be based on education, job-related knowledge and experience, skills relevant to the role and internal equity among other factors.
This position is approved for Full Telework (**If the position is Telework, it is eligible in California only**).
