About the Role
As a Communication Specialist, you'll be the central point of coordination during irregular operations, ensuring Customers receive timely, accurate, and empathetic communication. You'll collaborate with multiple departments to orchestrate Customer recovery strategies, craft messaging, and align JSX's response with both business goals and DOT requirements.

A Day in the Life
Your day will be fast-paced and dynamic, focused on problem-solving and communication across the network. You'll:

Execute clear, consistent messaging across channels during irregular operations

Proactively re-accommodate Customers with alternate flight options and amenity vouchers

Craft thoughtful Customer communication that reflects empathy and the JSX brand voice

Collaborate with Airport Services, Customer Support, and other teams to align recovery strategies

Ensure DOT compliance by tracking and reporting tarmac delays and delay causes

Anticipate potential disruptions and proactively plan recovery actions

Act as the link between operational needs and Customer care in real time

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

12 years of communications or writing experience

Preferred Experience

23 years of airline operations experience

Crisis communication or irregular operations experience in aviation or hospitality

Experience managing cross-departmental communication workflows

Skill, Licenses, & Certifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to craft empathetic, clear messaging in high-pressure situations

Familiarity with DOT compliance and reporting requirements

Pay & Perks
Compensation is $24.75/hour. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
