Investments Associate - Light Industrial

Macdonald & Company is partnering with a highly active, LA-based industrial investment firm to place an Investment Associate on their acquisitions team.
The firm is backed by institutional capital and deploying a $500M+ fund across infill markets in Southern California, Seattle, and the Bay Area. They've executed significant exits across a curated portfolio of value-add industrial assets and are one of the more active platforms on the West Coast.
As one of three people on the investments team, you'll have direct exposure to the full deal cycle from sourcing and underwriting through closing.
Responsibilities

Underwrite acquisition opportunities across infill industrial markets including financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and return projections
Support due diligence processes including market research, rent comps, and third-party report review
Assist in the preparation of investment committee memos and presentations
Monitor existing portfolio assets and track performance against underwriting assumptions
Coordinate with brokers, sellers, and capital partners throughout the transaction process
Contribute to deal sourcing efforts and market coverage across target geographies
Qualifications

1-4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, or private equity
Proficiency in ARGUS and Excel required
Strong analytical skills
Driven, highly collaborative, and a strong fit for a lean, high-performance team
