Role: Director - Margin Consulting. Duration: 12 months. Experience: 10+ years. Travel: 50%
Responsibilities
- Run Executive Steering Committee and Steering Committee meetings with CFO, VP Supply Chain
- Set savings targets, manage budget/projections, track gainshare performance
- Review and approve savings opportunities identified by the clinical and non-clinical managers
- Manage the team — direct reports include managers, consultants, analysts
- Client relationship owner — the "+"face of Optum" to the hospital's leadership
- Identify upsell opportunities and contribute to new business proposals
Required Skills
- 8+ years healthcare supply chain or consulting
- 3+ years in a director/leadership role with direct team management
- Has led multi-million dollar supply chain engagements or cost reduction programs
- Comfortable presenting to C-suite (CEO, CFO, COO)
- Understands both clinical (implants, med/surg) AND non-clinical (purchased services, facilities) categories
- BD experience — has contributed to proposals, client pitches
