About the Team
This role reports to the Manager of Program Management under the Technology Strategy & Operations team. The Program Management function keeps Justworks’ Technology Division focused and connected by maintaining an effective operating cadence, managing strategic initiatives, and leading special projects that translate strategy into execution.
What You Will Work On
- Define and own program vision, scope, strategy, and execution across multiple high‑priority programs and initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration across Technology, Operations, Design, Product Marketing, and GTM teams to drive progress.
- Translate complex business problems into clear roadmaps, project timelines, and outcome‑driven plans.
- Own strategy, selection, onboarding, and ongoing management of external vendors and third‑party partners to support program delivery and business goals.
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure smooth vendor contracting, compliance, and performance tracking.
- Drive vendor implementation plans, track vendor KPIs, and adjust strategy as needed to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate operational rhythms: program reviews, executive readouts, retrospectives, and milestone tracking.
- Develop and maintain program artifacts including calendars, scorecards, documentation, and risk mitigation plans.
- Drive team alignment on priorities, facilitate trade‑off decisions, and elevate critical risks and issues appropriately.
- Build frameworks that streamline collaboration, communication, and decision‑making across departments.
- Inform strategic direction through data collection, reporting, and business insights.
- Coach teams and individuals on program management best practices and frameworks.
- Maintain a proactive, resourceful, and adaptable mindset in dynamic environments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of strategy, operations, consulting, or program management experience in a cross‑functional environment (e.g., Product, Design, Engineering, Strategy, GTM).
- Strong business acumen, including understanding of tech/SaaS companies.
- Ability to quickly learn Justworks’ product, organizational structure, and other domains.
- Strong analytical ability paired with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and self‑direct cross‑functional projects, juggling competing priorities, stakeholders, and tasks.
- Possess strong leadership and management skills.
- Creative problem‑solver with a passion for simplifying complex challenges.
- Proficient with SQL (Tableau is a plus).
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $142,500 to $181,500 per year.
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
