Assistant Digital Editor (Contract) Location: Knoxville, TN (Hybrid schedule to be confirmed) 4-Month Contract We're seeking an Assistant Digital Editor with a passion for digital storytelling, editorial strategy, and food/home lifestyle content. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced digital publishing environment and has experience creating content that drives engagement and audience growth.What You'll DoPitch, write, and edit engaging digital articles across food, home, and commerce content verticalsSupport editors with content creation, updates, optimization, and editorial productionUse research, analytics, and performance data to inform content programming and optimization strategiesCollaborate cross-functionally with Editorial, SEO, Commerce, and Newsletter teamsHelp maintain and evolve content aligned with brand voice and audience interestsTake on new editorial projects and support shifting priorities as neededWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree or equivalent related experienceExperience in digital media, web publishing, lifestyle/entertainment media, or related industriesStrong writing and editing skills with an understanding of editorial voice and content strategyKnowledge of food, home, and commerce content trendsFamiliarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflowsExperience using SEO and analytics tools to evaluate content performance and optimize strategyStrong research, copy editing, and proofreading skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast-moving environmentPreferred BackgroundExperience with mobile, social, and emerging content platformsData-driven editorial mindset with a strong understanding of audience growthComfortable working across multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams
