The Communications and Marketing Coordinator (hereinafter CM Coordinator) serves to output information to the congregation of and community surrounding Skyland United Methodist Church. The CM Coordinator manages web communication, internal communication, social media presence, outreach marketing, and assists with printed communication.
Principally, the purpose of this role is to help tell our stories through various forms of media and provide expertise on effective communication of ministry‑specific messages. The CM Coordinator works along with the Communication Committee and Pastor to form the Creative Team overseeing and strategizing about church‑wide communication.
Qualifications
Proficient in website operations, including theme changes
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Publisher, Power point
Proficient in Constant Contact (email marketing)
Proficient in Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Ability to set and adhere to deadlines
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Highly detailed and organized
Adhere to Safe Sanctuary policies if presence around children at SUMC
Respectful, Punctual, Pleasant, and Courteous
