This internship supports the Marketing Communications team in the creation of video and motion graphic content used across internal and external marketing channels. The Videographer & Motion Design Intern will assist with filming, editing, and animating content for presentations, digital platforms, social media, and sales enablement materials.

At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will gain hands‑on experience applying creative and technical skills within a regulated medical device environment and will understand how visual storytelling supports marketing strategy and business objectives.

This is a part‑time summer internship position (less than 30 hrs a week), working with the Marketing team at Kestra.

Essential Duties

Project:

Complete a culminating video or motion design project.

Video Production:

Assist with video production activities including filming, lighting setup, and audio capture

Content Creation:

Support creation of motion graphics and animations and develop storyboards and animation concepts

Video Editing:

Edit video content for short‑form videos, presentations, and digital assets

Project Presentation:

Present internship project results and findings to the Marketing team and Kestra executive leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

Qualifications
Education / Experience Required:

2nd year or higher undergraduate in a fine arts/arts/science in design or related field

One to three years of motion design work experience

Attention to detail with a strong working knowledge of design‑related applications, techniques, and styles

Ability to articulate creative ideas in verbal and written communication

Focused creative thinking, while multi‑tasking on several projects and overlapping deadlines

Preferred:

Advanced knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Cloud

Advanced knowledge of video shooting, editing, color correction, and compositing

Advanced knowledge of videography equipment

Working knowledge of 2D and 3D animation

Work Environment

Indoor open office environment

Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment

Extended/overtime hours when needed

Internship Eligibility

Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months

Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Must complete a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations

Must complete a pre‑internship drug screen

Physical Demands

Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage

Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time

Frequent computers use

Frequent phone and other business machine use

Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

Travel
Occasional travel required (less than 15%), primarily for local event coverage in the Kirkland/Greater Seattle area. This role is hybrid; while many tasks can be completed remotely, on‑site presence at the Kirkland campus is required for all filming, event recording, and equipment management.
