Job Description

The Raclin Murphy Museum of Art strives to create positions for university students to work closely with specific Museum departments while allowing moments for broad learning of museum practice.

The student in the Event Photographer position will work directly with our Digital and Special Projects Program Manager to assist in various photography projects.

Responsibilities:

Photograph events and galleries at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art

Upload images to the digital asset management system, and prepare metadata

Support digital projects throughout the Museum as needed

Projects:

Event Photography

: Photography events and programs at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, which often includes Thursday evening events and weekend events

Public Art Website

: Photograph sculptures on campus for a new initiative creating a website of public art at the University of Notre Dame

Schedule:

Up to 10 hours a week (variable by week and as needed)

Gained Experience:

Digital asset management

Museum systems

Documentary photography

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Extreme attention to detail

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Bridge, Camera Raw, Photoshop)

Knowledge of DSLR camera

Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively as part of a team

Availability to photograph scheduled events, which can include evenings and weekends

This position is open to current university and college students.
