What is this role?
The Social Media Content Creator is a hands‑on, performance‑driven role responsible for developing high‑impact, conversion‑focused content across paid and organic social channels. Positioned at the intersection of content and growth, this role produces high‑volume creative optimized for platforms such as Meta and TikTok, elevating the quality, storytelling, and overall energy of the brand’s social presence. Responsibilities include concepting, filming, and editing video and photo content across a variety of environments—including events, in‑store activations, and other brand moments—and rapidly iterating on trend‑driven creative to drive engagement, conversions, and revenue, while maintaining alignment with brand voice and platform best practices.

What does an average day look like?
Driving Results

Build and maintain a consistent cadence of organic content across TikTok and Instagram that grows reach, engagement, and follower loyalty

Develop fresh concepts weekly with new angles, formats, and hooks rooted in platform trends and audience behavior.

Use organic performance data (views, saves, shares, watch time) to identify what’s resonating and double down on it.

Adapt top‑performing organic content for paid use, supporting the broader performance marketing team

Develop and test 10–20 new creative concepts (hooks, formats, angles) weekly

Create multiple variations of content to accelerate testing and identify top performers

Use performance data to refine messaging, structure, and visual execution

Taking Ownership

Own end‑to‑end production: concepting, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing

Capture content in various environments including events, retail locations, and operational facilities

Produce native‑feeling, platform first content

Adapt content for multiple platforms, ensuring best practices for each

Making Decisions

Prioritize content ideas based on creative briefs, platform trends, and what’s already performing

Determine when to scale, iterate, or retire content based on data

Stay ahead of trends, emerging formats, and platform changes

Continuously test new creative strategies informed by competitor and market analysis

Cultivating Relationships

Partner closely with marketing and growth teams to align on content needs and priorities

Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, and Design teams to ensure consistency

Occasionally partner with UGC creators to co‑create content

Work with influencers, creators, and brand ambassadors to co‑create content

Instilling Trust

Show up consistently with fresh ideas and a reliable content output

Use performance data to inform creative decisions and share what’s working and what’s not

Stay ahead of platform changes and bring recommendations to the team before they’re needed

Deliver reliable, high‑volume output that fuels organic and paid social channels

Operate with transparency around what is working, what is not, and why.

Customer Focus

Create engaging, thumb‑stopping content that clearly communicates product value

Translate consumer behaviors and trends into relatable, high‑converting creative

Continuously refine your approach based on what’s resonating with real people

Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience creating social media content, preferably for DTC or CPG brands, agency a plus

Strong understanding of Meta and TikTok ad ecosystems and creative best practices

Proven experience producing and optimizing UGC‑style and performance‑driven content

Proficiency in video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)

Familiarity and comfortability with utilizing AI to speed up content production

Strong mobile‑first production skills (comfortable filming on iPhone and lightweight setups)

Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑volume creative testing environments

Excellent storytelling, creativity, and visual communication skills

Ability to balance speed, quality, and performance outcomes

Natural curiosity for studying what’s working in the social landscape and translating it into ideas
