ACCOUNT MANAGER, Account Services Department (This role will be based out of our Syracuse, New York or Rochester, New York offices). The Account Manager helps manage and support the agency’s relationship with the client by helping to develop marketing strategies and plans.
Responsibilities
Clearly communicate client objectives to internal teams and monitor the workflow of all projects, including managing work for client presentations and proposals.
Act as a solutions provider, becoming a client expert and a project expert while contributing to ideation.
Ensure clients deliver what is needed for idea and project success (briefs, reviews, approvals, etc.) and guarantee flawless execution using agency resources and established processes.
Work with agency teams/SMEs to develop marketing strategies and tactics that align directly with client objectives, exercise discretion and make appropriate recommendations, and disseminate all client briefs and directives through ClickUp tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
Conduct and organize strategy meetings, provide accurate records of decisions, and ensure follow‑through.
Provide regular updates, develop project budgets/estimates, manage the overall development and execution of assigned plans and programs—including the internal creative process from brainstorming through production and delivery—and lead weekly status meetings for all active projects.
Obtain client approval for all creative materials and serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact with clients on assigned projects.
Identify new growth opportunities, maintain dependable communication systems with clients, troubleshoot job‑related issues, and coordinate with account supervisors as needed.
Produce and present client‑ready decks and reports, keep leadership teams aware of successes and challenges, understand client business and marketing objectives and the competitive landscape, uphold agency core values, and enter time daily.
Qualifications
3+ years of agency experience in an account management role.
Experience working with B2B clients, lead generation, and buyer journeys.
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or a related field.
Strong understanding of advertising and marketing disciplines, advertising and sales promotion programs, media advertising, direct mail, trade shows, public relations, point‑of‑purchase and online advertising strategies.
Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and generation of reports using standard software applications.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the public.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Total compensation for this role is designed to be competitive with the market.
The anticipated salary range for this Syracuse, NY‑based position is $55,000 to $70,000 per year.
The final offer will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, abilities and geographic location, along with other business and organizational considerations.
