The Communications and Member Services Director will play a vital role within the organization, reporting directly to the President & CEO. This position involves a diverse set of responsibilities aimed at enhancing member engagement, promoting energy efficiency initiatives, managing various communication channels, and supporting economic development activities. The core duties include coordinating programs with members, overseeing energy efficiency programs, preparing and distributing recurring publications to keep members informed, actively maintaining social media platforms to enhance outreach and engagement, and assisting in economic development activities that contribute to the organization's growth and impact. Additionally, the Director will lead the planning and execution of the annual meeting, a key event that brings together members and stakeholders to discuss crucial matters and future plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a passion for building and maintaining relationships with members. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's mission and objectives, requiring a proactive and dedicated individual with a commitment to excellence.

  • Associate degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Office Management, or related field required (bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Minimum three years experience in communications, creative design, marketing and general office procedures
  • Proficiency in social media management, publication preparation, and event planning
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Able to exercise discretion and use sound judgment in dealing with confidential information
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and economic development activities is a plus
