Director of Sales & Marketing
Full-Service Hotel | NYC Tri-State Area (NY/NJ/CT)

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy for a full-service hotel in the NYC Tri-State area. This role is responsible for driving total revenue performance across all segments, including group, corporate, catering, and transient business, while strengthening market positioning and maximizing share.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can think strategically, execute tactically, and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue, occupancy, and market share

Lead all group, corporate, catering, and transient sales efforts

Identify and capture new business opportunities across key demand segments

Manage and grow a strong portfolio of accounts to drive repeat and long-term business

Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategies

Collaborate with hotel leadership to align commercial strategy with overall business objectives

Oversee RFP responses, contract negotiations, and account production

Analyze market trends, competitive set activity, and performance data to adjust strategy proactively

Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, driving accountability and performance

Ensure strong visibility in the local market through networking, industry involvement, and client engagement

Partner with marketing resources to support positioning, digital presence, and brand awareness

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably within a full-service environment

Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving/exceeding targets

Strong knowledge of the NYC Tri-State market (NY/NJ/CT) and key demand drivers

Experience across group, corporate, catering, and transient segments

Proficiency with hotel systems such as Delphi, CI/TY, Opera, or similar platforms

Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Highly organized, strategic, and able to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus incentive-based bonus/commission structure , aligned with experience and performance.
