Job Description
The Account Manager is an operations leader who will communicate a vision for how we best serve our clients across single or multiple service offerings, and who empowers and enables their team to bring that vision to life. The role focuses on executing service delivery, delivering operational excellence, implementing optimized cost‑to‑serve models, applying continuous improvement initiatives, and team growth and development.
Responsibilities
Contract oversight – Oversee contracted operation(s) to ensure needs of the contract and client are met while addressing needs of employees.
People Leadership – Develop a highly functioning client team by managing the full employee lifecycle of direct and indirect reports, ensuring compliance with policies and SLAs, engaging in regular communication, fostering cross‑training, and providing performance management.
Operational Leadership – Establish, execute, and sustain quality service delivery through standard operating procedures, account planning, and metrics to ensure client satisfaction; utilize the Engage platform for reporting and workflow management; drive continuous improvement and resolve escalated issues.
Financial & Contractual Management – Review monthly P&L, manage labor allocations, create and distribute invoices, and participate in budgeting to keep operations on timeline and budget.
Customer & Account Leadership – Manage client relationships, conduct monthly Client Service Reviews, solicit feedback, educate clients on services, and identify growth opportunities.
Other – Participate or lead due diligence, implementation of people, process, technology for new business, and adhere to company and client site policies.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Over 5 years’ experience and a proven track record of leadership and people management in a customer‑service intensive environment.
Demonstrated record implementing solutions that resolved poor client, service or contract performance or improved contract performance.
Excellent client service skills and a service‑mindful approach.
Proven experience in delivery and management of complex or multi‑service solutions.
Minimum of two years of successful financial management and understanding of P&L impacts.
Minimum of two years of people‑management experience supporting employee lifecycle with centralized HR functions.
Ability to foster a team culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential documents.
Ability to interact effectively with multi‑functional and diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and self‑motivated with a positive can‑do attitude.
Intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office skillset.
Additional Information
RRD’s current salary range for this role is $75,600 to $120,800 per year. The salary range may be adjusted based on geographic location, and may change in the future. Compensation decisions may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
