Description
San Diego Theatres seeks a dynamic, self‑starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and communications while working for a nonprofit that delivers exceptional performing arts experiences.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Create and curate engaging content

Draft, distribute, and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories

Effectively utilize San Diego Theatres social media and blog

Build and update media lists

Assist in event marketing and promotions

Perform research and data and market analysis activities

Assist in developing community outreach and engagement

Experience
Completed or working toward a college degree in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)

Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office equipment.

Must have your own computer and an internet connection, when working remotely

Strong organizational skills with the capacity to think and act proactively.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and successfully.
